Keratoconus can occur in one or both eyes and often begins during a person’s teens or early 20s.

 WHAT CAUSES KERATOCONUS?

  • excessive eye rubbing,
  • a history of poorly fitted contact lenses
  • chronic eye infection like keratoconjunctivitis
